Overlook Ink

Home Brewed Walnut Ink
from Overlook Park, Portland Oregon

I went to 'Overlook Park' here in North Portland and collected 3 buckets of black walnuts.  This has produced a solid 200 ounces of beautiful quality ink.   I've added a little
gum arabic (to promote a good clean flow),.alcohol (for quick drying), vinegar and cloves (for preservative).

I than put this ink into these boston round 1 oz amber bottles with an eye dropper for easy ink dispersal.  The labels are hand drawn.

I enjoy making ink, It feels like magic and I want to share this with the world.  It took a lot of time, manual labor, a willingness to get messy and constant stove vigilance.   All of which I loved doing and am so pleased with the result.  Avaliable in a sliding scale from 5$, 7$ or 10$ with a 3$ shipping cost.

In the Autumn this beautiful fruit falls to the ground called black walnuts.  They grow on trees and are the primary ingredient in walnut ink; A burnt umber colored ink that is great for dip pens or brush (not intended for fountain pens) and will not discolor or fade when exposed to light.

If you want to buy more than one or don't want a paypal account, you are free to contact me via email and I'll create a simple invoice for you, easy peasy.
